Martine C.
Marine Castoro was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. She went to the world renowned art school, Art Center School of Design in Pasadena. There she graduated with honors in 1983 with a Bachelors degree in fine art, with a minor in illustration.
She then started working in Los Angeles. Her art revolved around movie posters, album covers, magazine illustrations, video covers and book covers. She also taught design at Art Center, Santa Monica City College and California Art Institute.
She then moved to Laguna Beach, California. There she began her fine art career.
She started showing her work in galleries in Laguna Beach and Newport Beach, California.
In 1994 Martine opened her first restaurant (and art gallery), Ti Amo Ristorante in Laguna Beach, filling it with paintings, ceiling frescos, murals and art.
In 2003 she was invited to a new gallery, Lou Martin Gallery in Laguna Beach. There she sold paintings locally and internationally.
In 2005 she moved to Boise, Idaho. She then opened Barbarcoa, a restaurant filled with artwork, murals and visual stimuli.
